- # HH Orthotics & Prosthetics TechApplylocations: Fort Worth, TXtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR-118050**Location:**Home Health - Fort Worth**Department:**Orthotics & Prosthetics Lab**Shift:**First Shift (United States of America)**Standard Weekly Hours:**40**Summary:****SCHEDULE:** Monday-Friday, 8a-5pmThe technician is responsible for fabricating, fitting, maintaining, and repairing artificial limbs, plastic cosmetic appliances, braces, surgical supports, plaster casts, and other orthopedic or prosthetic devices, according to prescription specifications and under guidance of orthotist, orthotics assistant, prosthetist, or prosthetics assistant. The technician is also responsible for oversight of the lab and the technician assistants working in the lab.**Ability to modify plaster molds from measurements given by clinicians is also critical.** **Experience:*** PREFERRED: 7 years orthotics experience* Pediatrics experience preferred**Education:*** High School Diploma or GED equivalent**Certification/Licensure:*** Texas Board of Orthotics and Prosthetics Registration Preferred.**About Us:****Cook Children's Medical Center** is the cornerstone of Cook Children's, and offers advanced technologies, research and treatments, surgery, rehabilitation and ancillary services all designed to meet children's needs.Cook Children's is an EOE/AA, Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
