Santiago Immigration Law, P.A. is a Miami-based immigration practice dedicated to fighting for families and helping immigrants achieve the American dream. Every case we handle represents a person, a family, and a future. We represent clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the National Visa Center (NVC), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Immigration Courts, and we are looking for an attorney who shares our commitment to that mission.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced immigration attorney to join the firm as Senior Associate Attorney. This role combines client consultations and case intake with oversight of the firm’s USCIS caseload, eligibility review for immigration court matters, and day-to-day guidance of our paralegals and legal assistants. The Senior Associate Attorney is a key member of the leadership team and works directly with the Managing Attorney.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consultations and conversion: conduct client consultations and follow up with prospective clients to open new matters and generate revenue.
- USCIS case review: review and oversee the firm’s full USCIS caseload, including I-130 family petitions, I-485 adjustment of status applications, and I-765 employment authorization applications.
- Court eligibility review: evaluate evidence of eligibility for immigration court matters, including asylum, withholding of removal, and cancellation of removal.
- Hearing coverage: cover master calendar hearings as needed.
- Team leadership: guide and support paralegals and legal assistants on case preparation, quality, and deadlines; review case files submitted for attorney review and ensure filings are complete and timely.
- Other duties: additional responsibilities consistent with an attorney role, as reasonably assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active license in good standing with any U.S. state bar or Puerto Rico.
- Active EOIR eRegistry status.
- 5+ years of immigration practice, including USCIS family-based filings (I-130, I-485, I-765) and removal defense (asylum, withholding, cancellation).
- Experience conducting consultations and converting prospective clients.
- Experience supervising or mentoring paralegals and legal staff.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (required).
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, deadline-driven practice.
WORK ARRANGEMENT
- Fully remote, with availability during regular business hours: Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern, and every other Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as part of the firm’s rotation.
- Regular virtual team meetings and case reviews with the Managing Attorney and legal staff.
- When working from the firm’s office (If Applicable), access to a firm-owned workstation (desktop computer, monitors, printer, keyboard, and mouse) and an assigned parking space in the 2100 Coral Way garage, paid for directly by the firm. Firm equipment is for business use in the office and remains firm property.

- Compensation: competitive base salary commensurate with experience, paid in accordance with the firm’s standard payroll practices.
