Principal, Private IG Investing

Apollo Global Management is looking for a Principal to join their Private Investment Grade team. In this role, you’ll lead the origination and execution of complex investment transactions while managing a team and developing innovative solutions. What You’ll Do Lead the origination and execution of private investment grade transactions. Conduct thorough credit analysis and present findings to the investment committee. Negotiate terms and structure deals to protect the portfolio. Monitor portfolio performance and identify any credit issues early. Collaborate with various teams and external partners to source new opportunities. Supervise junior team members and help them grow professionally. What You Need At least 8 years of relevant experience in finance or investment. Strong background in private placements, leveraged finance, or structured credit. Proven track record in leading complex transactions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in managing and developing junior team members. Established relationships in the finance industry. Willingness to learn about insurance balance-sheet investing.
