Cath Lab RN Charge

Position Overview Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Frisco, Texas is preparing to open in Spring 2027. This role is a Cath Lab RN Charge Nurse in the Invasive Cardiology department. Shift is 7 am–5:30 pm with a rotating day off (Mon or Fri). Applicants must have at least two years of charge nurse experience in the Cath/EP Lab. Orientation will be provided at The Heart Hospital Plano (1100 Allied Drive, Plano, TX 75093). Job Summary The Catheter Lab RN Charge manages patient care delivery, supervising, evaluating, and customizing care plans. The Charge Nurse ensures safety, delegates tasks, and assumes responsibility for patient care. Key Responsibilities Execute informed health assessments while prioritizing patient and family needs. Craft, commence, reassess, and amend patient care plans according to clinical outcomes. Support practices that integrate relief, healing, and alleviate unnecessary suffering. Adapt approach to respect patient diversity and individual needs when formulating plans. Safeguard patient confidentiality, autonomy, dignity, and rights, representing their concerns. Educate stakeholders about healthcare processes, documentation techniques, learning opportunities, and outcomes. Collaborate with colleagues and the broader community to deploy comprehensive care plans. Apply a holistic view for problem‑solving, using available resources. Uphold professionalism through governance participation, decision‑making, ongoing education, and community service. Success Factors Comprehensive understanding of nursing procedures and patient care. Knowledge of relevant laws, rules, regulations, guidelines, and standards. Strong communication and critical thinking skills. Respect for diversity. Proficiency with computer systems. Qualifications Successful completion of an accredited nursing education program. At least two years of experience in a relevant nursing role. Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). If not certified at hire, obtain within thirty days.
