Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients with telemetry monitoring needs, ensuring accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and patient stability. Acts as a vital team member in assessing, planning, and implementing patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ensuring timely identification of abnormalities.
• Provide competent nursing care across ICU, Telemetry, and Med/Surg units, floating as needed.
• Administer medications, including IV therapies, following established protocols.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, procedures, and health management.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care and respond to patient needs.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with relevant state accreditation.
• Proven experience in telemetry, ICU, or Med/Surg units.
• Ability to read, interpret, and respond to EKG strips.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current and valid.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Flexibility to float between units and adapt to changing patient care needs.
