Pallet Repair Tech. - 1st Shift

Pallet Repair Technician

Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM 3:30 PM) Starting Pay: $17 per hour Incentives: Will earn Piece Rate Pay after training period - can earn up to $24/hr or more with Piece Rate Pay

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE (work boots, eye protection, ear protection, gloves)
• Repair, build, and assemble pallets using hand tools, nail guns, and circular saws
• Inspect pallets to determine if they require repair, dismantling, or grinding
• Apply quality assurance procedures, including marking pallets and blacking out old heat treat stamps
• Remove all plastic, cardboard, and metal banding and place in recycling bins
• Maintain clean and organized work area; sweep and remove debris as needed
• Follow trainer/supervisor instructions and standard operating procedures
• Repair any pallets rejected by the sorter before leaving the shift
• Meet daily production targets

Requirements:

• Ability to safely lift and handle pallets, 2"x4" runners, and boards multiple times per shift
• Basic familiarity with hand tools, nail guns, and circular saws (preferred but not required)
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to follow safety procedures and learn from a trainer/mentor
• Ability to work in a team environment and accept feedback
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 2"x4" runners and boards multiple times per shift
• Manual dexterity to handle hand tools, nail guns, and circular saws
• Ability to maintain focus and awareness during repetitive tasks

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing/production environment with moderate to loud noise
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting required
• Exposure to dust, wood, and other debris
• Steel-toe boots required
