Registered Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in adult psychiatric care. The successful candidate will have experience providing compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in an inpatient setting.

This position is within a 10-bed inpatient unit that offers psychiatric services to adults aged 18 and older. The unit caters to residents from the surrounding areas and is designed to provide a supportive environment conducive to recovery.

Shifts and Schedule:

• 8-hour night shifts
• 40-hour work week (36 hours may be considered for the right candidate)
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to adult psychiatric patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Monitor and document patient progress and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
• Perform phlebotomy and assist with medication administration.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of current psychiatric nursing experience required.
• Current phlebotomy experience is essential as blood draws are part of the role.
• ACLS and CPI certifications are strongly preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Experience in small critical access facilities is advantageous.
• Must possess a valid Vermont RN license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification is required.

Additional Requirements:

Travelers must have their own vehicle. All requests for time off must be included during the submission process. Requests made after submission will not be accommodated. Availability during key holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, is mandatory.
