About Chip Chip is the first mass-market American robot. He just happens to be your car. Chip is building a new category of vehicle. Most cars are engineered for highway speeds and long-distance range. The reality is that 60% of daily trips are under 6 miles. Chip is built for those trips: fully electric, street-legal on roads up to 35 mph, 100+ mile range, and made to fit the way people actually move through their neighborhoods. We're also launching Chip Go!, a remote-driving service that keeps your vehicle moving when you're not inside it. Say the word and he'll go off to park himself, run an errand, get cleaned, or come get you and the family. Rolling out regionally. We launched publicly in July 2026 and reservations are open nationally. The role Chip is hitting the road for music festivals, brand activations, and events across the country, and our prototype needs a dedicated keeper. You'll own the care, transport, and show readiness of Chip's prototype and show vehicles. That means towing them safely on long hauls, keeping their onboard networking and 12V systems running for live demos, and making sure the robot that shows up looks and runs like the future we're building. Today that's one very special vehicle. Soon it'll be a small stable of new prototypes. If you're equally comfortable with a multimeter, a router admin page, and a loaded trailer on a long haul, and you treat a one-of-a-kind vehicle like it's one of a kind, this job was written for you. This role is travel-heavy. You'll report to the C-suite and work closely with our engineering team. What you'll do Own the prototype and show vehicles. Day-to-day care, readiness, and condition tracking for Chip's public-facing vehicles, growing to multiple new prototypes as the lineup expands. Tow and transport prototypes. Hitching, loading, unloading, route planning, and confident highway and city driving on long hauls nationwide. Rig and secure irreplaceable loads. Straps, chains, binders, and winches to DOT standards, with checks before and after every trip. Inspect and maintain the tow vehicle, trailer, and securement gear. Pre-trip and post-trip checks on lights, brakes, tires, and couplers. Run event operations. Delivery, staging, setup, live demo support, and teardown at brand activations, music festivals, and events across the country. Keep the demos alive. Install, configure, and troubleshoot in-vehicle networking and connectivity hardware including routers, ethernet runs, antennas, cameras, and telemetry, all powered from 12V vehicle systems. Diagnose and repair 12V electrical issues. Wiring, fusing, grounds, connectors, and battery health. Prep for the spotlight. Detailing, pre-event readiness checks, and post-event recovery so the vehicle always shows at its best. Work with engineering. Document prototype quirks, issues, and fixes on the road, and feed clear reports back to the team building the next ones. #J-18808-Ljbffr Chip Motors
