Job Summary As a Paramedic, you will provide exceptional patient care in our fast‑paced emergency room. You will support nursing staff caring for patients ranging from minor injuries to critical illness. Responsibilities Inform RN staff of patient chief complaints and presenting symptoms to aid initial assessment. Assist RNs and Physicians with patient and family education. Champion infection surveillance, prevention, and control following established policies. Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, orthopedic skills, Foley insertion, and all transporter duties. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date. Paramedic credential. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or PALS Instructor, must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
