About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1+ years of experience License: Current Registered Nurse License in the state of practice Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN or C-EFM required Must-Have: - ASN - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing - Proficient in nursing care, health assessment, health teaching, health counseling, and therapy and treatment Description: Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards defined by the state Board of Nursing. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Evaluates health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data. Performs health teaching and health counseling. Provides therapy and treatment that supports and restores life and well-being, either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others. Executes delegated medical functions. Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment. Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans. Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Uses resources as needed. Promotes mission, vision, and values of the organization and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned. May be required to float to other departments based on business needs. May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
