Respiratory Therapist

The role requires providing respiratory therapy across various patient demographics, primarily adults, but also including pediatrics and neonates. The therapist will cover inpatient and outpatient settings, ER, and other related areas. During night shifts, the therapist will be the only therapist in-house, with a second therapist available on call. There is a requirement for weekend and holiday coverage, particularly on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights. On-call coverage is approximately four days per month, with a response time of one hour expected. The therapist will be responsible for evaluating patients, administering treatments, and maintaining equipment. Solid colored scrubs are required. Floating outside of the respiratory therapy role is not typical, though there is potential for limited floating in extreme cases. Department-specific orientation will be provided with preceptors available for support.
