Plumbing Engineer Department: Construction, Engineering, & Skilled Trades Employment Type: Full Time Location: Florida Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000 / year Description Plumbing Engineer or Plumbing Designer (MEP Consulting) Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida (Onsite, fixed location) Employment Type: W2 Compensation: $80,000-$110,000 base salary (negotiable for strong candidates; may exceed for Professional Engineers) Schedule: Flexible hours; deadline-driven consulting environment Travel: None specified About the opportunity An established MEP consulting engineering team is hiring a Plumbing Engineer or Plumbing Designer to support plumbing system design and coordinated construction documents across a variety of building projects. Responsibilities Plumbing design production
- Design plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare, education, residential, and multifamily buildings
- Prepare plumbing plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Perform system sizing and layout
- Apply plumbing codes and design standards to design decisions
- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Support multi-story building projects with repetitive system layouts
- Review shop drawings and assist during construction phases
- 4 or more years of experience in an MEP or consulting engineering environment
- Plumbing building systems design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (skills may be evaluated)
- Working knowledge of plumbing codes and design standards
- Revit experience strongly preferred
- Professional Engineer license or Engineer in Training is a plus and may impact compensation
- Bachelor's degree preferred
