IT Technician (31496)

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced IT Technician I. Position Purpose Provide technical support to practice offices, CBO, and physicians. Responsibilities Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems. Support and maintain user account information including rights, security and system groups. Qualifications Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within particular fields. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Ability to multi‑task. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network+, Security+, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred. Must be able to travel to our offices within and outside of DFW Metroplex. Education and Experience Associate’s Degree or equivalent and 1‑4 years of experience in IT or related field. 1‑4 years of IT or related field experience. Additional Qualifications Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network+, Security+, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred. Requirements for Level I Status Entry level (1‑4 years experience) and/or meet the basic requirements of the job with the need for additional supervision. Excess of 4 years experience if meeting only the basic requirements of the job with need for additional supervision. Performance Requirements Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient technical (computer) skills. Ability to multi‑task and prioritize. Self‑motivated with initiative. Strong sense of ethics. Ability to travel to office locations.
