Job Description Summary: Own and improve the quality systems that support Saber Power Field Services' testing, maintenance, commissioning, and upgrade work. Maintain controlled technical processes, monitor execution, and provide field teams with clear requirements that promote safe, consistent, and high-quality service. Work with Operations, Safety, Technical Development, Training, field personnel, and customers to manage standard operating procedures, inspection and test plans, process controls, customer feedback, corrective actions, quality records, and quality-focused technician onboarding. Key Responsibilities: Create, own, and continuously improve the Field Services quality assurance program in alignment with company requirements, customer expectations, and applicable industry standards. Manage the lifecycle of standard operating procedures, including development, technical review, approval, revision control, distribution, periodic review, and retirement of obsolete documents. Coordinate subject matter experts to ensure SOPs accurately reflect safe work practices, equipment requirements, field conditions, manufacturer guidance, and applicable standards. Develop and maintain standard and project-specific inspection and test plans that define scope, equipment, responsibilities, acceptance criteria, required records, and hold, witness, or review points. Verify that ITPs and supporting test documentation address applicable customer specifications, company procedures, and relevant NETA acceptance or maintenance requirements. Establish process controls, workflows, checklists, documentation requirements, and verification points for recurring field-service activities. Review proposed process changes for quality impact and coordinate controlled implementation, communication, and training before revised requirements take effect. Conduct or coordinate audits of field execution, project records, test documentation, and compliance with approved procedures and ITP requirements. Review quality trends in test reports, data packages, documentation, rework, recurring errors, and customer concerns to identify improvement priorities. Manage nonconformance and corrective-action processes, including issue documentation, containment, root-cause analysis, assigned actions, due dates, effectiveness reviews, and closure. Develop and deliver the quality portion of technician onboarding, including company procedures, document control, test-data integrity, reporting expectations, customer requirements, and escalation practices. Coordinate with Technical Training and field leadership to reinforce quality expectations through onboarding, refresher training, coaching, and lessons learned. Maintain organized, traceable quality records and support the effective use of document-management, training-record, and quality-tracking systems. Serve as a resource to field personnel and leadership on SOP, ITP, process-control, documentation, and quality-system requirements. Required Qualifications: Relevant experience in quality assurance, electrical field services, technical operations, process improvement, project quality, or technical documentation. Ability to work effectively with technicians, customers, supervisors, project teams, subject matter experts, and company leadership. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and electronic document or record-management systems. Willingness to travel to field locations and company offices as required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electrical power-system testing, maintenance, commissioning, or field-service project execution. Familiarity with NETA standards, NFPA 70E, manufacturer requirements, customer specifications, and other standards applicable to electrical field services. Experience developing or administering SOPs, ITPs, quality plans, audits, or corrective-action programs. Quality certification or formal training in auditing, root-cause analysis, ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, or a related discipline. Experience with quality-management systems, learning-management systems, data visualization, or workflow and document-control platforms. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in office, training, shop, and field environments as assignments require. Ability to review field activities and documentation at customer and project locations while using required personal protective equipment. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods and safely carry normal office or field-review materials. Ability to travel and adjust work schedules to support audits, project needs, customer meetings, and technician onboarding. Measures of Success: SOPs, ITPs, forms, and process controls are current, controlled, technically accurate, and consistently used. Quality issues, corrective actions, and customer concerns are documented, addressed on time, and verified for effectiveness. Field documentation is complete, accurate, traceable, and accepted with fewer repeat errors or rework.
