In 2018, Fulk founded Saint Joseph’s Arts Society, a non‑profit dedicated to supporting local artists and creatives at revitalized historic landmarks in San Francisco and Provincetown, MA. Ken Fulk was christened “The Incredible Fulk” by The Economist. He has been a fixture on Architectural Digest’s AD100, Elle Decor's A‑List and Luxe's Gold List. He was inducted into Hospitality Design’s Platinum Circle Hall of Fame and was recently applauded as Design LA’s “Living Legend” award. He’s been a winner of multiple Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, and was twice nominated for the James Beard Design Award. In 2025, Fulk was honored with the Druker Award and the Larry Kravet Design Industry Leadership Award in 2026. ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH’S ARTS SOCIETY Based out of a National Historic Landmark in San Francisco, Saint Joseph’s Arts Society is dedicated to elevating the shared human experience through the cultivation of art, conversation and creativity. After a three‑year restoration, the formerly condemned 1913 Saint Joseph’s Church has been revitalized by Ken Fulk as a new destination, a forum and a source of inspiration for subscribers, artists and the public. Opening in the fall of 2018, Saint Joseph’s Arts Society is the ultimate expression of Ken Fulk Inc’s decades of designing and choreographing experiences. The society offers subscribers and their guests an unforgettable setting for everyday rituals and multi‑disciplinary arts programming. Saint Joseph’s is also open to the public for gallery visits, special events and retail shops. ROLE Responsible for supporting the Director of Events and the Events Department with the implementation of events at Saint Joseph’s Art Society (SJAS) and offsite. Coordinate and work closely with the internal design team (floral, branding, stylists, and interior architects and designers). Build, track, and reconcile the full event budget with zero oversight. Source, hire, and manage all third‑party vendors, venues, etc. Drive timelines to build and enforce the project's goals and production schedule. Oversee F&B production elements such as rental orders, menu conceptualization and design, placing orders, on‑site management and scheduling of staff, etc. Oversee design production elements such as rental orders and placement on site, branding collateral, custom fabrications and installations, floral, prop styling, etc. Oversee technical production elements such as AV, lighting, and the specifics of technical programming as needed. Serve as the main point of contact and decision‑maker on event sites. Fix technical failures, schedule shifts, and address logistical issues as they arise. Manage load‑in, setup, strike, and load‑out schedules. Secure all necessary city permits, insurance, and safety sign‑offs. Collaborate with events and branding teams to prepare invitations and collateral materials. Manage and update invitation, mailing, VIP, and RSVP lists. Support the management of SJAS in‑house systems such as bar operations, security, janitorial, movers, AV, etc. Support the day‑to‑day building and venue operations that enable SJAS to operate as a functional and safe event space, including coordinating with various building vendors on an ad‑hoc basis REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A minimum of 5 years of work experience in event planning and coordination is required. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Creative and curious thinker. Highly organized and can work simultaneously on multiple projects in a complex, highly demanding, and fast‑paced work environment. Proven ability to stay calm, professional, and decisive under pressure. Prioritizes functionality with design as the guiding principle. Self‑starter mentality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Someone who understands the value of creating systems to streamline processes. Attention to detail, embraces adaptability, and is flexible with unforeseen circumstances to problem‑solve on the fly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, and a high proficiency in Excel is essential. Knowledge of design, hospitality, and fine arts is desired. Able to work a typical events schedule that includes evenings and weekends as needed. Compensation is $80,000 - $90,000 based on experience level.
