Physician Assistant

Responsibilities Assess, plan, evaluate, and modify the plan of acute and chronically ill patients. Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings of diagnostic tests to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems. Determine the primary care requirements of adult patients and engage in a collaborative approach with the physician team to assess, manage, and adjust therapeutic strategies as necessary. Write prescriptions, order the administration of medications, dispense medication, and prescribe controlled substances in accordance with scope of practice for Physician Assistants. Evaluate the total health‑care needs of patients and develop plans to meet the patients' needs. Coordinate with patients regarding physicians' findings and diagnoses, laboratory results, follow‑up treatment plan, or the effect of medications prescribed in accordance with approved protocols. Oversee compliance with the preventive health‑care needs of adult patients visiting the clinic. Qualifications Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre‑Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. Applicants must provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Veterans and Military Spouses will be considered along with all other candidates. Security clearance is not required. Education Requirements Foreign education credentials must be evaluated by a private organization that interprets foreign education programs and must be deemed equivalent to an accredited U.S. education program, or full credit must be granted for courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. #J-18808-Ljbffr
