Medical Assistant

Hilltop Family Practice is located at 85 Main Street, Somersworth, NH 03878. As a Family Medicine office, we provide outstanding primary care and preventative health care to patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support a busy family medicine practice. The schedule is Monday-Friday with staggered 8-hour shifts between 8:00am and 5:00pm. The MA will support 2–3 providers and an average of 35 patients per day, working collaboratively a nurse and 2 other MA's while also functioning independently within their scope. Responsibilities include typical MA duties like rooming patients, vitals, immunizations, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing but also some admin tasks including prescription refill requests, in-basket management and calling patients with results. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, build strong patient relationships, and continue developing clinical skills in a team-oriented primary care environment.

The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.

Licenses and Credentials: Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred. Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] preferred.

Experience: Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.

Pay Range: $20.48 - $24.94/Hourly
