Position Overview: The Resident Services Nurse (either Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) plays a vital role in assisting the Resident Services Director with the comprehensive implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services within the community. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the associates in the Resident Services Department, including Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.s). Support the management of the medication program and aid residents in self-administering their medications. Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare providers. Communicate any significant incidents or changes in residents' needs to the Executive Director or Resident Services Director. Assist in conducting resident assessments and developing service plans. Help with clinical assessments and recertifications as required by state regulations. Support the Resident Services Director in recruitment and performance management within the department. Participate in the training and orientation of new team members. Engage in scheduled in-service training sessions and team meetings. Assist with the scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as necessary. Provide coaching and mentorship to associates in the Resident Services Department as needed. Support residents and their families to ensure a high level of satisfaction. Assist in supervising RSA staff during care delivery. Qualifications: Must hold a valid RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts. Experience in assisted living or long-term care environments is preferred. Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR is required. A genuine passion for working with seniors is essential.
