It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.Description of WorkThe Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide direct Physical Therapy services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Caswell Developmental Center under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). This candidate assists the PT with evaluations, treatment planning, scheduling, documentation, and daily therapy sessions. Also conducts standardized PT tests, gathers health data, monitors adaptive devices, and participates in meetings and chart reviews. The PTA trains and consults with facility staff on safe practices, positioning, transfers, and PT-related care and delivers and supports a variety of specialized PT services as part of individual treatment plans or standalone programs.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Range: $46,149.00 to $69,222.00Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.
