User Experience Designer II - UX Design

Bartech Staffing is proud to partner with an agricultural client who is accepting applications for a User Experience (UX) Designer in the Johnston, IA area.

As a User Experience (UX) Designer you will help shape intuitive, engaging digital experiences. Leverage user research insights to guide product development, create visually compelling designs, and ensure consistency with brand and design standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into scalable product solutions while supporting user-centered design practices across multiple product lines within a platform.

Hourly Rate Range: $39 - $40per hour (W2)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality user experience designs, including user interface components and interaction flows
• Translate user research insights and analytics data into actionable design solutions
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications
• Ensure alignment with branding, design standards, and best practices
• Maintain and evolve style guides for various delivery methods and platforms
• Apply established design methodologies, tools, and processes for user-centered design
• Collaborate with product teams to bring concepts to life and ensure a seamless user experience
• Support workshops and collaborative sessions to gather requirements and drive alignment

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Working knowledge of core user interface languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript fundamentals)
• Strong understanding of design principles, usability, and interaction design
• Ability to translate complex data and analytics into visual insights and user flows
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency
• Effective communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
• Ability to design clean, production-ready interfaces across multiple devices and form factors

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in one of the following:

• Information Technology
• Marketing
• Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related discipline
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in product or UX design
• Experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment
• Exposure to industry-specific design practices or relevant disciplines
• Experience facilitating workshops or contributing to collaborative design sessions (preferred)
