Values: Kindness, Growth, Hard Work, Trustworthiness, & Teamwork. Responsible for wearing the proper mandatory safety gear in designated areas/situations. Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and OSHA guidelines. Perform Quality role in working with operations employees, suppliers and customers to solve problems through statistical problem solving and corrective action methodologies. Inspect incoming material, work in progress and final product using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, eddy current equipment, ultrasonic equipment, dye penetrant inspection and other equipment as needed. Implement and maintain a gauge calibration system. Assist management with maintenance and continual improvement of Quality Management System key processes. Give input to quality manager to Identify and implement process improvements. Monitor results-based quality metrics and identify and implement opportunities for improvement. The schedule is 50 hours per week. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Quality Professional with 3-5 years implementing effective Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment desired. Responsible for gathering information for process documentation. Must have knowledge of specific steel specifications. Must have knowledge of metrology practices, including eddy current and ultra-sonic technologies Proven usage of statistical methods to assure quality. High School diploma or GED. Physical Requirements: May need to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with federal, state and local standards.
