Billing Specialist

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our team. This entry-level, part-time remote position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and providing professional support to customers and internal teams.

The Billing Specialist will assist with billing-related processes, account updates, payment records, invoice preparation, and customer inquiries while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Requirements/Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and process invoices accurately and on time.

Maintain and update customer billing records and account information.

Process billing adjustments, credits, and corrections as needed.

Review accounts for accuracy and identify billing discrepancies.

Respond to customer questions regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.

Follow up on outstanding balances and assist with payment-related inquiries.

Enter and maintain billing information in company systems.

Reconcile billing records and assist with routine reporting.

Maintain organized digital records and documentation.

Communicate with internal departments to resolve billing issues.

Protect confidential customer and financial information.

Perform other administrative and billing-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous billing, administrative, accounting, or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Comfortable working with numbers and basic calculations.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with email and spreadsheets.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Dependable, organized, and willing to learn new systems and processes.
