Role Description The Registered Dental Hygienist is a full-time, on-site role located in Topeka, KS. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive preventive dental care, including conducting patient assessments, performing dental cleanings, and assisting with the management of periodontal conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, taking and recording vital signs as appropriate, performing oral cancer screenings, taking and interpreting dental radiographs, and documenting findings in patient records. The hygienist will educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment plans, while collaborating closely with the dentist and dental team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Additional duties may include instrument sterilization, maintaining operatory cleanliness, and supporting front office or chairside tasks as needed to ensure efficient patient flow. Qualifications Strong foundation in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support diagnostic and preventive treatment plans. Demonstrated proficiency in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including thorough cleanings, polishing, and patient education on home care. Knowledge and experience in identifying and managing Periodontal Disease, including periodontal charting and non-surgical periodontal therapy. Current license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of Kansas (or eligibility to obtain licensure before start date). CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with infection control and OSHA/CDC guidelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build trust and rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds. Comfort with electronic health records, digital radiography, and standard dental office technology. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. #J-18808-Ljbffr
