The position is for an onsite Quality Inspector responsible for ensuring products and processes meet established quality standards. The role involves conducting inspections, verifying documentation, and maintaining accurate records for newly fabricated or repaired products and deliverable kits. The ideal candidate has a strong quality control background, high organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with other functions. This role supports RTX in Chesapeake, VA. What you will do Conduct in-process and final inspections of electronic assemblies to determine product quality and acceptability. Perform Test Witnessing and Test Data verification to ensure functionality of deliverable units. Review drawings and process requirements to support compliance with Technical Data Packages. Interpret and adhere to quality standards, specifications, and procedures. Use measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions and quality. Document inspection results and maintain detailed records. Inspect outgoing kits to verify contents and quantities of material. Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes. Perform administrative tasks associated with file management and material control. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality. 1st Shift – 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday); onsite role. Qualifications you must have Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in related discipline or AA/AS degree with 6 years of relevant experience. Experience in Product Inspection, Manufacturing Quality Assurance, or Product Assembly supervision. Experience in a Manufacturing or Depot Repair Environment. Experience in drawing or blueprint reading. U.S. citizenship required to access information under this program/contract. Qualifications we prefer Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Familiarity with basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, inspection scopes, etc.). Past experience in Receiving Inspection. Strong knowledge of quality control principles, tools, and techniques. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. SAP and Microsoft Office experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
