Our organization is on the lookout for a Rheumatologist to become part of our Internal Medicine Department. We are looking for individuals dedicated to academic medicine who are enthusiastic about teaching and research. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a busy consultation service at our medical center and outpatient clinics.
• Providing both outpatient and inpatient care at the Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley.
• Collaborating with a supportive team, including nurse practitioners, and utilizing excellent support staff for prior authorizations and documentation.

The Rheumatology Division currently consists of 5.5 faculty members, with plans to expand to 9 full-time positions. We emphasize faculty development and physician wellness through various initiatives, including:

• Financial planning and physician vitality programs.
• Workshops on positive psychology and clinical trials.
• Activities such as yoga classes, pottery, and local hikes.

Our faculty also have access to free CME courses related to education, leadership, and personal development, ensuring you have the resources to excel in your career, whether your focus is on healthcare administration, clinical research, or patient care.

We offer a two-year fellowship program with three fellows each year, providing ample opportunities for faculty to engage with fellows, residents, and students. Our division is involved in clinical trials and various research initiatives, supported by seven specialized centers, including:

• Center for Arthritis
• Lupus Center
• Scleroderma Center
• Myositis Center
• Sjogren’s Syndrome Center
• Vasculitis Center
• Center for Bone Health and Osteoporosis

We also manage the Fracture Liaison Service and infusion centers at our affiliated hospitals, with ultrasound machines available for various diagnostic procedures.

Our organization is affiliated with a leading medical center that serves as the largest tertiary referral source in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, catering to a population of nearly 4 million. The center is equipped with over 850 licensed beds and is the only Level I Trauma Center in a four-county area.

The starting base salary for this position ranges from $300,000 to $330,000, adjusted based on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity bonuses, which will be discussed during the recruitment process.
