Job DescriptionThe HVAC Technician II plays a critical role in supporting a multi-building campus environment, ensuring optimal comfort and reliability across academic, residential, and athletic facilities. This position performs maintenance, repairs, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and other mechanical, electrical, and building systems in accordance with client expectations and operational standards.Pay: $34 - $38 per hour.The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. For information about ABM's benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Staff & ManagementResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches, and electrical system componentsUse common HVAC trade tools (e.g., multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools)Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment across diverse building types, including classrooms, dormitories, laboratories, and athletic facilitiesIdentify maintenance risks on equipment and diagnose electrical and mechanical faultsPerform emergency repairs promptly and efficientlyClean, adjust, and repair systems; perform warranty servicesProvide technical direction and on-the-job trainingKeep daily logs and records of all maintenance functionsEnsure compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety ActComply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirementsAssist with customer inquiries and complete other duties as assignedOther assigned duties such as General Maintenance, Snow Removal, and any needs for client.QualificationsBasic QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderValid, unexpired driver's licenseHVAC license in the state, county, or city jurisdiction where work will be performedEPA Universal certification credentialsRefrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certificationMinimum of three (3) years of HVAC experiencePreferred SkillsExperience supporting educational or institutional facilities is a plusStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbout UsABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world's largest providers of integrated facility, engineering, and infrastructure solutions.
