Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Mission Memorial Hospital, Asheville, NC

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week. Every 5th weekend on call from 7 AM Saturday to 7 AM Monday.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Cath Lab. The RN will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, as well as structural heart procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and work collaboratively within a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and recovery of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization.
• Collaborate with the cardiology team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining adherence to safety protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures and post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• ACLS and BLS certification are mandatory.
• Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab is required.
