DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sets up and operates band saw to cut metal stock to dimensions Reads drawing cut sheet(s) for specifications, such as material, type, and size of stock, and dimensions to be cut. Obtains and transfers stock to machine, manually or with hoist. Records material cuts & scrap on dwg cut sheets Able to measure work accurately for conformance to specifications, using tape measure Marks identifying data on workpiece (project name and drawing references Bundles cut sheet pieces together and/or places them on staging carts Willingness to cross-train and perform the other job tasks as assigned

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Possess a suitable combination of education and experience to meet the requirements of this position 1+ years of industrial experience is preferred Must be able to operate an industrial powered fork truck Must be able to work with various hand tools Must be able to work with overhead cranes Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings. Able to work independently or as a team player Employ a friendly, outgoing personality, respectful of co-workers and ability to work with individuals to carry out goals of the organization Able to take direction and communicate with others Have excellent time management skills, organized and detail oriented

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Perform work standing up in work cell for 8-10 hours per day and up to 6 days a week. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk ; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move material during the course of performing his/her job Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
