Roadside Technician Commercial Tires - Ontario, CA

Job Overview The starting pay for this position is $22.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. The role of a Roadside Technician is: an emergency response tire technician for semi‑truck fleets. When a customer experiences a tire failure, the Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or replace the tire. Technicians are expected to be on the roadside during their duties. When there are no service calls pending, Technicians help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform other general duties as needed. Shift Information This position includes participation in a mandatory on‑call rotation. During an assigned on‑call period, Technicians are expected to respond to after‑hours service requests—including evenings and weekends—with a high rate of acceptance. All after‑hours service calls are compensated at a premium pay rate with guaranteed minimums. Ongoing training and career advancement opportunities. Basic Requirements Valid driver’s license and meeting commercial driver qualification requirements. Must be at least 18 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future. No prior experience required; training will be provided. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous commercial service tire experience. About the Role: What skills will you learn? Servicing commercial tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire. Performing match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary. Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements. Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including wearing proper PPE, using tire cages, and following all other safety policies and procedures.
