Direct Support Professional

We are seeking candidates for a personal support worker role for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Availability is required for different shifts: 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m., Monday–Friday or weekend shifts. Personal Care Support Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming) Help with toileting and hygiene Support mobility (transfers, walking, wheelchair use) Health & Safety Monitoring Administer or remind clients to take medications (depending on certification) Monitor for changes in physical or mental health Follow care plans and report concerns Daily Living Assistance Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed Help with household tasks (cleaning, laundry, organizing) Manage basic errands like grocery shopping Community Integration Accompany clients to appointments, work, or social outings Encourage participation in community activities Support skill-building for independence Emotional & Behavioral Support Build trusting relationships Provide companionship and encouragement Implement behavior support plans when necessary Documentation Record daily activities, progress, and incidents Maintain accurate and confidential client records Required Skills & Qualities Compassion and patience Strong communication skills Reliability and responsibility Problem‑solving ability Physical stamina (lifting, standing, assisting mobility) Education & Requirements High school diploma or GED (minimum) CPR/First Aid certification (required but will train) Background check and drug screening Additional certifications may be required depending on the state Benefits Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Vision insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr Golden Hands Home Health Llc
