The center helps care for patients' overall health and addresses common side effects that occur during and after care. It also helps treat medical conditions besides cancer and their interactions with cancer and its treatments. Clinical Nurse opportunity in the Internal Medicine Center (ACB Center). The ideal candidate will be an RN with at least two years of experience. Prefer candidates with experience working in an outpatient environment. Oncology or general internal medicine experience is a plus. Shift: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift between 7:30 am - 5:00 pm (varies based on business needs) Salary range: $68,000 - minimum - $105,200 midpoint - $142,500 maximum

The primary purpose of the Outpatient Clinical Nurse position is to coordinate and implement patient care across the continuum of care. The Outpatient Clinical Nurse is accountable and responsible for providing quality, evidence-based patient care through the appropriate use of resources in collaboration with the inter-professional team. Organizes and prioritizes work of patient care team; trains, coaches and assists team members to ensure optimum patient care and efficient use of resources. • Has a working knowledge of various chemotherapy/immunotherapy drugs to treat IMC patients.
• A broad understanding of oncology drug administration with an understanding of drug side effects and usage.
• Has the ability to assist with various IMC procedures, knows basic sterile technique, handling of specimens, and procedural processes.
Internal Medicine Center Outpatient Nurse Triage
• On occasion will function as the telephone triage nurse, has a strong working knowledge of IMC oncology protocols, and can assist patients with strong communication skills, both verbal and written. EDUCATION
Required: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if working in the following department: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if working in the following departments: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761) or Pedi - Child & Adolescent Center (113200).
