Hospice Nurse

Senior Staff RN OpportunitySuncoast Hospice, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated Senior Staff RN to work with us in North Pinellas county supporting our facility team. In this leadership-focused role, you will help coordinate patient care, support team members and ensure the delivery of exceptional hospice services to patients and families. This role works 8 hours, 5 days a week.Since 1977, Suncoast Hospice has been honored to serve our neighbors across Pinellas and Hillsborough counties with compassionate end-of-life care. As part of Empath Health, we help those living with advanced illness find comfort, dignity, and meaning, while supporting their families and caregivers with guidance and care every step of the way.What you'll do:Coordinates the nursing component of care on the IDT. Provides coverage/assistance to team members as needed and patient acuity dictates to ensure continuity of care for all patients on the team. Assures assignments and redistribution of nursing caseloads. Coordinates team staffing needs with the Care Team Manager, other teams, and additional staffing resources.Assist Care Team Manager with coordination of the Interdisciplinary weekly IDT meeting.Collaborate with the Care Team Manager to provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of team goals and support of staff.Coordinate the team responsibility of providing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week patient care. Involves planning nursing back-up and on-call persons when necessary to ensure quality and continuity of patient/family care.Reviews and approves staff time sheets and patient care documentation as assigned. Assures compliance with all organizational standards including productivity, timeliness, and adherence to documentation guidelines.
