\nKey job responsibilities\ N
\n - Own end-to-end delivery of satellite avionics subsystems, from architecture and requirements through production ramp, in partnership with peer engineers.\ N
\n - Lead system and subsystem architecture, translating mission requirements into manufacturable hardware designs.\ N
\n - Drive circuit design, analysis, and ECAD schematic capture to meet performance and reliability targets.\ N
\n - Lead hardware design reviews (architecture, schematic, PCB layout) and set the technical bar for design quality.\ N
\n - Develop and executebring-up, verification, and qualification test strategies.\ N
\n - Lead debugging and root cause resolution across development, qualification, and production, working closely with design and test engineers.\ N
\n - Establish requirements, traceability, and verification frameworks for hardware subsystems.\ N
\n - Lead production readiness and ramp, including test strategy, yield improvement, and issue resolution.\ N
\n - Influence cross-functional teams (systems, firmware, manufacturing, test, suppliers) to deliver program milestones.\ N
\n - Act as a technical leader, raising engineering standards and developing other engineers.\ N

\nAs a Senior AerospaceHardware Engineer, you will be part of the avionics hardware development team, designing and testing systems supporting satellite sensing and control (power delivery, propulsion, attitude control, and more). You will lead work across the full lifecycle, from component selection and schematic design through layout review, bring-up, validation, and system integration.\ N
\n
\nYou will help define requirements, drive high-quality hardware designs, and ensure robust execution from development into production. Working closely with peer engineers, you will lead critical technical efforts while partnering across systems, firmware, manufacturing, and integration teams to solve complex problems.\ N

\ NOur team is responsible for delivering production hardware subsystems for attitude control, power delivery, and propulsion control subsystems on the satellite bus. We take ownership and work hard to deliver the highest quality solutions to support the long-term success of Amazon Leo. \nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS-Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures\ N
\n- 5+ years of experience developing hardware across the full product lifecycle (concept through production at scale)\ N
\n- Experience with PCBdesign and debug, including processors, FPGAs, power supplies, and sensors\ N
\n- Experience with complex board designs (e.G., high-speed interfaces, power electronics, or high-reliability systems)\ N
\n- Experience using ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout\ N
\n- Experience driving hardware through bring-up, validation, and integration\ N
\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent\ N
\n- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production\ N
\n- Experience with theproject management of technical projects\ N
\n- 7+ years of experience developing hardware across the full product lifecycle in aerospace, automotive, or similar high-reliability environments\ N
\n- Experience with satellite, avionics, or vehicle control systems\ N
\n- Experience with system integration into complex electromechanical assemblies or enclosures\ N
\n- Experience with radiation-tolerant design or qualification for harsh environments\ N
\n- Experience developing test systems or automation (e.G., Python, C/C++)\ N
\n- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or similar system-level test methodologies\ N
\n- Experience with low-level firmware development and hardware/software integration\ N

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
