Our organization is in search of a board-certified thoracic surgeon to spearhead the establishment of a new lung transplant program. This unique opportunity allows you to influence all aspects of the program, including clinical protocols, the formation of a multidisciplinary team, the development of a referral network, and obtaining UNOS certification, all supported by a leading academic medical center and the largest healthcare system in Arizona. Ideal candidates will possess fellowship training in thoracic surgery, experience in lung transplantation, and the vision to create a program that serves patients throughout the Southwest. Essential Qualifications:

• Certification or eligibility from the American Board of Surgery & American Board of Thoracic Surgery
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• A strong interest in working within an academic and research environment, including teaching residents, fellows, and medical students
• Comprehensive knowledge of general thoracic surgery with a focus on lung transplantation, chest wall, esophageal, and diaphragm surgeries
• Proficiency in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques
• Experienced clinical faculty and graduating thoracic surgeons interested in clinical academic practice are encouraged to apply
