Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine Physician

Job Description We are seeking a clinician/researcher with fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine for a full‑time faculty position at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA, in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The candidate will be a member of Harvard Medical School faculty. Responsibilities Participate in a busy critical care practice and faculty ambulatory practice in pulmonary medicine. Educate Harvard Medical Students, residents, and fellows in the internal medicine training program and the joint Massachusetts General Hospital – Beth Israel Deaconess medical center fellowship programs, as well as the Beth Israel Deaconess medical center sleep medicine fellowship. Conduct clinical research and contribute to the Division’s scholarly activity. Produce scholarly output sufficient to fulfill promotion metrics for Harvard Medical School Clinical Expertise and Innovation Area of Excellence. Serve as an academic mentor and participate in faculty development opportunities. Qualifications Board eligible or Board certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the time of appointment. Fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Additional training or interest in the care of patients with oncological diagnoses is preferred. Strong commitment to teaching, research, and clinical excellence. Academic Rank Instructor or Assistant Professor level. Benefits and Compensation Pay Range: $150,000 – $300,000 (base salary). Compensation may be modified based on academic appointment, experience, specialty training, and role expectations.
