Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing specialized occupational therapy services in a dynamic school environment near Magnolia, DE. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week, excluding lunch) runs through June 2027 and offers a highly collaborative setting serving a diverse caseload of students—especially those with severe disabilities across various grade levels. The position is designed for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with strong experience in school-based practice. COTAs are not being considered.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active, valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Demonstrated experience in school settings, ideally supporting students with severe disabilities and a background in autism/behavioral interventions
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload of 35–40 students
  • Strong skills in therapy documentation, IEP writing, evaluation completion, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to review IEPs written by COTAs when appropriate
  • Reliable transportation and comfort with the daily commute
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, fingerprinting, and background check
  • Professionalism: punctual, excellent communicator, proactive with schedule conflicts
  • Comfortable participating in Microsoft Teams interviews lasting 15–30 minutes

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy to students, focusing on both development and achievement of IEP goals
  • Collect and track progress data; complete timely therapy notes
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations; draft evaluation summaries
  • Write and review IEPs as needed, ensuring compliance with school and state regulations
  • Collaborate effectively with educational teams and families
