Speech Language Pathologist
Major duties include:
The Fee Basis Speech Language Pathologist will use a wide range of knowledge and skills in applying theories, principles, and methodologies in the practice of speech-language pathology to treat Veterans with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders to a wide range of populations. The duties and responsibilities are carried out throughout the medical center including all clinical and patient care areas involved with the service. Major Responsibilities: The Fee Basis Speech Language Pathologist will be performing and/or responsible for the following functions:
- Complete clinical swallow evaluations
- Complete instrumental swallow studies as needed
- Plan and implement swallowing treatment interventions as needed
- Enter consult results and progress notes in the electronic medical record
- Notify provider of assessment results and recommendations
Work Schedule: Fee Basis; One day per weekend, 2-3 weekends per month, discuss specifics during interview
Rates: $85 per consult, re-evaluation, and treatment (cognitive rehab excluded unless treating for 1 hour)
Salary cap: $20,000 per calendar year
