Journeyman PipefitterAssists with the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and smooth operation of the building and campus. Repairs, maintains and assists in the installation of equipment.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Providing quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail.Providing technical expertise through the layout, preparation, assembly, and installation of mechanical piping systems.Securing pipes, valves, hangers, and fittings during assembly and installation while performing pipe threading, repairs, soldering, and various welding techniques.Recording information from meters and gauges at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.Making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.Regularly replacing HVAC air filters.Monitoring building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.Moving heavy furniture, equipment and supplies either manually or by using hand trucks.Working cooperatively with foremen, project supervisors, and crew members to ensure timely project completion while assisting other skilled trades as needed.Notifying managers about the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.Supporting the layout and organization of materials on-site, staging materials, and helping maneuver completed assemblies into place.Setting up and breaking down ladders, scaffolding, and work platforms while loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area; safely operating hand and power tools; and following all ASME, OSHA, and company safety procedures, including proper PPE.Driving vehicles required to perform work.Performing other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license may be required.Enhance your quality of life through our comprehensive benefits:Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance401K with Company MatchDisability InsuranceLife Insurance/ADAssociate Shopping ProgramHealth and Wellness ProgramsDiscount Marketplace & Employee shopping programIdentity Theft ProtectionPet InsuranceAnd More…Associates may also be eligible for paid and/or unpaid time off benefits in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.Quantum North America maintains a drug-free workplace.Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
