Description: MUST HAVE NEW YORK LICENSE IN HAND. Specialty: ER RN Shift: 4x12 NIGHTS 1800p-0630a Weekend: Every other weekend First time travelers accepted. Locals must be more than 75 miles away. General Emergency Department duties include combined adult/pediatric care. Management of dysrhythmias required. Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Ability to obtain a 12 lead EKG. Arterial line management skills required. Blood product administration experience needed. Central line care and management experience required. Phlebotomy skills are necessary. Starting IVs is a required skill. Continuous IV sedation and emergency medication administration experience necessary. Familiarity with IV vasopressors is required. Procedural sedation administration skills required. Experience with cerebrovascular accidents, ortho-trauma, and abdominal pain management is needed. Ability to recognize and report abuse is expected. Experience with mental/behavioral health conditions and managing violent behavior is necessary. Skills in handling acute psychosis and drug overdose are required. Knowledge of psychosocial supports, including psychiatric holds and care for suicidal patients, is needed. Chest tube insertion and management skills are essential. Experience with CPAP/BiPAP use and interpretation of arterial blood gases is required. Intubation experience is necessary. Ability to care for ventilated patients is required. Familiarity with isolation precautions is needed. Triage skills are expected.
