Lot Porter / Valet Attendant

Position Summary

The Lot Porter/Valet Attendant is responsible for receiving completed vehicles from the service department, safely parking and staging them, and promptly returning them to customers. This position plays an important role in creating a smooth, professional, and welcoming customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receive completed vehicles and keys from the service department.
2. Verify the vehicle information before parking or delivering it.
3. Inspect vehicles for obvious damage or cleanliness concerns and report any issues to the service advisor.
4. Safely move and park vehicles in designated areas.
5. Maintain an organized vehicle staging area and secure key-management system.
6. Retrieve vehicles promptly when customers arrive.
7. Deliver vehicles directly to customers in a friendly and professional manner.
8. Coordinate with service advisors and cashiers to ensure vehicles are ready for release.
9. Assist customers with entering their vehicles or loading belongings when appropriate.
10. Maintain safe traffic flow throughout the service drive and parking lot.
11. Keep the service drive, valet area, and customer pickup area clean and presentable.
12. Follow all dealership safety procedures and protect customer vehicles while they are in our care.
13. Perform other vehicle-moving or lot-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
2. Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles.
3. Strong customer-service and communication skills.
4. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.
5. Ability to follow directions and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
6. Professional appearance and positive attitude.
7. Previous dealership, valet, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
2. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
3. Ability to frequently enter and exit vehicles.
4. Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds when necessary.

The ideal candidate will handle every customer vehicle with care, provide prompt service, communicate professionally, and help ensure that each customer’s final interaction with the service department is positive and efficient.
