Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Irving, TX 75038. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Specific Duties:

• Organises the clinical environment and provides support in patient care situations.
• Support includes, but is not limited to, assisting physicians and nursing personnel, including those skills listed under Job Functions below, along with various other procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a medical provider.
• The MA assists in identifying patient needs or problems and communicates data to the provider or other members of the clinical team.
• The MA delivers quality customer service. Ensures that policies and procedures are followed, including infection control, privacy, and confidentiality. Completes mandatory training.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of preferred experience
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
• Current BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Centre or the Military Training Network) at the time of hire or within 30 days of hire

Requirements:

• Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology required
• The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is required
• Good communication and customer service skills required
• Preferred Education. Experience & Skills
• At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Bilingual (preferred)

Additional Information:

• Location: Irving, TX 75038
• Job Type: 3+ months contract to Hire
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am 5 pm
• Office Hours: 8 am 5 pm
• Pay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2 without benefits

Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
