Location: Atlanta, Georgia Experience: 0–2 years Employment Type: Full-Time - On-Site Position Overview The Development Analyst will support the evaluation, capitalization, planning, and execution of multifamily, build-to-rent, and retail real estate development projects. The role provides broad exposure to the full investment lifecycle, from initial opportunity review and underwriting through due diligence, financing, construction, stabilization, refinancing, or disposition. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing numerous project components, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously. Success in this role requires the ability to move between financial analysis, project coordination, documentation, reporting, and follow-up in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsbilities Support the day-to-day execution of development projects, including due diligence, entitlement, design, permitting, financing, construction, lease‑up, tenant coordination, stabilization, and closeout. Maintain project schedules, milestone trackers, budgets, responsibility matrices, action‑item lists, and other project‑management tools. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, attorneys, municipalities, property managers, lenders, tenants, and other external partners. Track multiple interdependent workstreams and identify items that could affect project cost, timing, financing, permitting, or execution. Monitor deadlines, follow up on outstanding deliverables, and elevate delays, risks, unresolved decisions, and cost exposures to management. Assist in evaluating prospective multifamily, build-to-rent, and retail development opportunities through market research, comparable analysis, demographic research, and preliminary feasibility assessments. Maintain the development pipeline and track opportunities by market, product type, stage, timing, capitalization, and probability of execution. Support development underwriting, including project costs, operating assumptions, lease‑up projections, financing terms, cash flows, returns, and sensitivity analyses. Assist with investment committee materials, opportunity summaries, due‑diligence files, and internal approval documentation. Support debt and equity financing processes, including lender and investor requests, financing packages, sources and uses, closing requirements, equity contributions, and construction loan draws. Monitor project budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, contingencies, cost‑to‑complete schedules, and material variances. Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting for senior management, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders. Coordinate across development, acquisitions, capital markets, construction, accounting, asset management, and property management teams. Maintain organized and accurate project records, contracts, approvals, drawings, reports, correspondence, and financial information. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, economics, accounting, construction management, engineering, or a related field. Zero to two years of relevant professional or internship experience in real estate development, acquisitions, private equity, commercial real estate, construction, lending, consulting, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a foundational understanding of financial statements, development budgets, discounted cash flow analysis, and real estate investment returns. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and detailed workstreams simultaneously. Strong analytical, quantitative, research, problem‑solving, written, and verbal communication skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, accountability, initiative, and follow‑through. Ability to understand how individual decisions and deliverables affect the broader project schedule, budget, and investment strategy.
