The Licensed Dental Assistant will provide essential support in a general dentistry setting, managing moderate patient volumes of 10-20 patients daily. This role demands proficiency in patient preparation, equipment sterilization, and chairside assistance, with an emphasis on performing routine clinical tasks independently. The assistant will maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Integrated Dental Practice Management software to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental procedures
• Sterilize and maintain dental equipment
• Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside support
• Process dental radiographs accurately
• Maintain comprehensive patient records using dental software
• Manage inventory of dental supplies
• Implement and uphold infection control protocols
• Perform routine clinical tasks independently

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience
• Completion of a Dental Assistant Certification Program
• Valid Dental Assistant License

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of radiography and infection control procedures
• Experience with chairside assisting and dental software systems
• Strong patient communication skills
