Physical Therapist (PT) - Ortho/Sports Med

Overview Responsible for planning and administering physical therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients. Serves as a role model in delivery of professional services and as a clinical resource for staff and students. Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire – American Heart Association (AHA) Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (required) Work experience in outpatient orthopedics Responsibilities Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed. Applies safe body mechanics to reduce injury risk and demonstrates respect, empathy, and engagement. Designs individualized care plans integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plans; adjusts based on patient response and evidence. Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other health‑care providers using effective teaching methods. Evaluates clinical findings to determine physical‑therapy diagnoses and outcomes. Performs examinations, selecting reliable and valid methods relevant to chief complaint and history. Scans patients to determine effectiveness and need for further therapy services; supports personnel according to standards and ethical guidelines. Monitors care delivered by support personnel and provides regular feedback. Communicates with the medical team. Performs documentation according to department and practice standards. Meets customer service and productivity standards. Serves as clinical instructor when assigned by team lead/manager/supervisor. Actively participates in team, program, department assignments and meetings. Performs reporting and other duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $36.74 per hour – $63.19 per hour. These figures represent a good‑faith minimum and maximum range for the role.
