Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool RN – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Weekend nights Friday/Saturday plus one additional night shift per week

• Float to multiple intensive care units based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, CVICU, and Cardiology/Diagnostics
• Work with a dynamic critical care team in a comprehensive healthcare system offering diverse patient populations and complex cases
• Experience with transplant patients including kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplants
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout all units
• Contract must extend through January 2, 2027
• Float policy ensures assignment to units of equivalent or lower acuity

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications – Required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing

This critical care float pool position offers experienced ICU nurses the opportunity to expand their clinical expertise across multiple specialty intensive care units while working a weekend-focused schedule. You'll be part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team that includes respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and comprehensive support services.
