Advanced Practice Provider Surgical House

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Surgical House team at Parma Medical Center. The schedule is rotating days/nights, weekends and holidays. APP experience preferred and will consider new grads. A Brief Overview The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws. What You Will Do Initiates and maintains positive relationships w/pts/customers Initiates and maintains positive relationships w/co-workers Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values Performs patient assessment and assigns diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and current research Establishes plan of care and implements interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care and current research Collaborates w/other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required) (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required) Experience Qualifications 1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred) 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred) Skills, & Abilities Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency) Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency) Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
