About the Position Perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), automated systems, and conveyors for Kenco Fleet Services. Schedule Planned Maintenance (PM) of all Fleet Services equipment and maintain updated records of completed PMs. Conduct corrective repairs and preventive maintenance in accordance with site and OEM standards. Communicate with site managers, supervisors, and operations leaders regarding equipment status, service requirements, project timelines, and any operational impacts. Meet or exceed performance metrics, including service response times, first‑time fix rates, and PM completion schedules. Report damage, coordinate required parts, and maintain accurate service and inventory records. Maintain parts inventory and complete accurate paperwork for all equipment. Use OEM software platforms to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and equipment programming. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using service manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts schematics. Achieve minimum 80% technician efficiency or 100% PM completion monthly, maximizing billable work hours relative to total available work time. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and safety devices to ensure compliance with OSHA, facility, and manufacturer standards. Maintain general cleanliness of the service area and conduct thorough monthly inspections of the assigned service vehicle or shop workspace. Organize workspace in service vehicle or shop area following 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). Qualifications High school diploma, G.E.D., or technical school graduate required. 2–4 years of mechanic experience; preferred experience with repair and maintenance of MHE, automated systems, conveyors, or similar equipment. ASE certification preferred; Silver and/or Gold certification preferred. Electrical journeyman certification preferred; electrical and pneumatic experience preferred. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on multiple types of equipment. Proficiency using email, work order management software, and mobile applications for daily job functions. Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics. Self‑motivated, self‑directed, highly responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs. and safely operate lift trucks. Supply own mechanic technician hand tools. Travel Requirements This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less. A passport is not required, but recommended.
