Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Independence, Virginia

Experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), as well as strong Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates, are invited to apply for a full-time school-based position. This role is based near Independence, VA, and offers a dynamic chance to work with pediatric populations for the 2026-2027 academic year. Key Qualifications: Current Virginia SLP license is required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFY) are welcome to apply Experience with pediatric clients in healthcare or educational settings is highly valued Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and technology is a plus Demonstrated organizational skills and comfort managing diverse caseloads Responsibilities: Provide direct speech and language interventions to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student communication goals Conduct evaluations, write comprehensive reports, and maintain documentation in compliance with school and state requirements Use both in-person and virtual platforms to maximize therapy accessibility and effectiveness Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as a core member of the interdisciplinary team Adapt approaches to address communication needs across varied age groups (caseload details to be provided) Look forward to working in a collaborative, innovative school environment committed to student success.
