Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program

Mass General Brigham is launching an exciting Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program in collaboration with Mass Bay Community College, designed to develop a strong, sustainable pipeline of skilled Medical Assistants through a blend of structured education, hands-on clinical training, and supported career progression. This is an entry-level, work-and-learn Medical Assistant Apprentice role that integrates classroom learning with supervised clinical training in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment. The program is a 40-hour per week commitment, with days for classroom instruction, clinical skills labs, and immersive on-the-job training within a community-based ambulatory practice. Apprentices will be matched to a practice location within the greater Boston area based on clinical needs, program requirements, and site availability. Upon successful completion of the entire 22-week program, the goal is for each apprentice to transition into a Medical Assistant role within the Mass General Brigham System. Specific locations include Haverhill, Newburyport, Lawrence, and Andover.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Pay Range: $17.71 - $23.20/Hourly
