- Assess clients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric categories utilizing both standard assessments and observational methods.
- Create individualized care plans tailored to meet short-term objectives along with ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on areas such as communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
- Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to ensure a comprehensive care approach.
- Educate patients and their families to bolster progress beyond clinical sessions.
- Contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, guaranteeing consistent care throughout the patient journey.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Stay updated with industry advancements through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in providing evidence-based therapeutic techniques for all age groups, coupled with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adept at modifying therapeutic approaches to cater to different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
