Description
  • Assess clients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric categories utilizing both standard assessments and observational methods.
  • Create individualized care plans tailored to meet short-term objectives along with ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on areas such as communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to ensure a comprehensive care approach.
  • Educate patients and their families to bolster progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, guaranteeing consistent care throughout the patient journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification.
Qualifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
